Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center recommends the following breast cancer screening guidelines for most women. Discuss your personal and family health history with your health care provider and ask whether these guidelines are right for you.
• Monthly breast self-exams starting at age 20.
• Annual breast exams by a health care provider starting at age 20.
• Annual mammograms starting at age 40.
