Harper's Hope

Harpers HopeHelping You Live With,
Through and Beyond Cancer

Thanks to Methodist Hospital Foundation and a generous gift from the Harper Family Foundation, Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center offers Harper’s Hope, a comprehensive cancer survivorship program to improve quality of life for patients, their family members and friends.

Because quality of life means more than medical treatment, Harper’s Hope provides a full menu of supportive services that can be customized for each cancer survivor, regardless of which medical facility in the area provides treatment.

Harper’s Hope services include:

• Social Services: Help from an oncology social worker to access community resources, including financial assistance, transportation, support groups and other services.
• Counseling/Behavioral Health: Counseling, stress management, relaxation techniques, education and help with spirituality.
• Cancer Prevention & Hereditary Cancer Risk Program: Risk assessment, genetic testing, prevention trials, community cancer screenings and smoking cessation programs.
• Physical Wellness: Physical, occupational and speech therapy; exercise programs; and lymphedema program.
• Nutrition Services: Nutritional evaluation, herbal education and drug interaction review.

Harper’s Hope is available to all survivors. Initial use of all services is free. No one will be denied access to Harper’s Hope because of an inability to pay.

For a complimentary consultation or more information, call (402) 354-HOPE (4673) or visit www.harpershope.org.
